Laboratory Quality in the age of Risk Management.
Objectives:
- Learn a process for developing a QC Plan
- Select QC procedures using a Sigma-metrics tool
- Assess the shortcomings of EQC procedures
- Review the principles of risk management
- Learn about CLSI guidance for Risk Analysis and QC
- Learn to use risk analysis tools, such as process mapping, fault tree analysis (FTA), and failure-modes effects analysis (FMEA, FMECA)

What the Westgard Workshops are like
A relaxed, retreat-style setting, Dr. Westgard provides comprehensive training on quality. It is the most in-depth training session that Westgard QC provides all year. Questions, debates and conversations are encouraged. Formal business attire is not required.
- All coffee breaks and lunches are included with registration.
- Workshop handouts are included with registration.
- Usually, groups for dinner together at night are arranged.
- Shuttle service to and from the airport is available. A car is not necessary, as the hotel is located downtown and within walking distance of dining and shopping.
- Winter should be over by May, and the steamy summer not yet begun. One of the best times to visit Wisconsin.
